Need bottle/can chg to local distributors to fund private enterprise. Government work force is never a solution.

Even if the tube liveries think they could self police. It has been proven that they can't

So sad that these businesses have not followed thru to help clean up and continue to ruin our river and our neighborhood all for the almighty dollar.

I do not support self regulating and self policing by commercial outfitters. They exist to make money and outside, impartial, legal authority and regulation is a must.

Why would we believe the tubing companies of doing any type of enforcement concerning drunken behavior and littering based on their previous past history. They have never been responsible or considerate neighbors and the only reason that they are offering this proposal is so that the partying can continue without any rules or regulations.

The tubing companies are too busy running their businesses to clean up after themselves too.

The efforts of volunteers collecting beer cans and jello shot containers a few times a year simply cannot keep up with "drink 'em and sink 'em" crowd destroying the San Marcos River. Regulate this mess before it's too late.

We travel from Huntsville to San Marcos River Retreat each year for a Church canoe/kayak trip (and have done so for many years) and are going to miss enjoying the river & area if changes are not made.

There should be a disposable beverage container ban. That would greatly reduce the littering and the drunken obnoxious behavior. There should definitely not be a private clean up plan. The tube companies have been making money hand over fist for the last couple years and haven't spent a dime on clean-up.

And it's getting worse. This is a crying shame and future generations will hold us responsible.

About time we save this pristine area. We just don't have many spring fed rivers in Texas, and if you have been there, you understand, if you have not, you are missing a texas treasure that should never be desecrated

I prefer not to have the fox in the hen house raising the chicks.

It is very sad to have a beautiful river and not be able to use it -- and be fearful for your life with all the drunk kids staggering up from the river.l

If it is an option now, it should have been the option in the past. If their lips are moving...
