I do not support outsourcing of the IFC fitness center services. The current fitness center staff is extremely knowledgeable and qualified (Master's level for many of them) in providing fitness training. All of the classes are taught with utmost professionalism, skill and care. I for one know with absolute certainty that the fitness training (whether muscle training, cycling, yoga, zumba, african dance, pilates, combo aerobics, etc) I am receiving at the IFC Fitness Center as it is currently operated is of highest quality. I firmly oppose the proposal to outsource the IFC Fitness Center services.

havign the service and proximity of the gym is the only way i am able to keep my sanity and physical health needed to put in 12 hour days. Please do not make a hasty short sighted decision to cut costs in teh short run but affect staff health and well being for ever.

With so many changes coming our way, we need to have continuity at least in our Fitness Center, where we all can revive our strength and relieve our stress. In my opinion, its critical to not outsource this wonderful facility driven by enthusiastic and quality in-house staff.

As we understand this is a cost driven decition, most of the comments are providing valid arguments to reconsider this option. Eventhough values and feelings seem to be "old fashion", I want to refer to how proud we are of our fitness instructures, who are also WBG staff and how greatfull to the excellent service experience the fitness center staff provide to all of us. Eventhough I cannot always attend the fitness center due to the high demmand of our work, I feel I have the option to do it and contribuite also to the wellness and work balance of other colleagues in the Bank.

The Fitness Center instructors demonstrate professionalism din the classes that I have taken and for my many years in the Bank, I have taken almost all the fitness classes. I have greated a raport with many of them because of their different skills. Because of the many volunteers from the Bank, there is always someone to substitute which causes the classes to run smothly. I think it is cost effective to retain what is working well than to outsource.

In house management has produced a superior product tailored to the needs of WB staff. The resultant healthier workforce has saved the Bank money through reductions in sick days and medical claims.

There is no fitness center service in the DC Metro area, that can match the Bank fitness center in terms of price and quality -- I tried them ALL. Please keep the fitness center in-house!

Outsourcing isn't always the answer to budget woes. In the case of the WB gym, it could be a disastrous cost-cutting step, not to mention a terrible disservice to the WB staff. The fitness center caters to a clientele who have diverse needs and sensitivities. In comparison, commercial fitness facilities don't have the experience or exposure to the same multi-cultural membership. They are profit-oriented. In addition, the WB fitness program boasts of volunteer instructors who liven fitness regimes with their excellent classes. Other gyms charge exorbitant prices for even basic fitness classes. Mike James and his staff have created a comfortable, safe, and responsive environment for its members. They have forged professional relationships with its members over the years. The effect of this excellent service on staff productivity and well-being cannot be overstated. Management needs to rethink its cost-cutting options.

A fantastic service, that is supportive, encouraging and builds community in the classes. The approach of the instructors makes all the difference.

Ran 3.5 miles on the sidewalks of Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar at 6am this morning while on mission. I will aim for more mileage tomorrow morning. I would not be able to even contemplate this without the ongoing support of the WBG gym staff's to my fitness program. Lost 110lbs and still going!
