The Fitness Center is wonderful because of its caring and inspirational staff. How can that be outsourced? How can outsourcing even be considered without any consulation with staff?

Dear GSD Group, I was a volunteer instructor at the WB fitness for over 15 years. If the fitness is outsourced the quality and the program will be highly impacted. I can vouch for Mike James and his dedicated team's effort to maintain and provide the best fitness center to the client. They are all very dedicated and always aiming to provide the best. They have build relationships with the members which is not easy to build. Please I vote NO to the proposed outsourcing of the WB gym.

it would jeopardize the quality of service the Fitness Center currently provides to its members. Let's support our friends - George, Mike, Mahdia, Dave, Arben, Carlos, Dosseh, Xiaolin, Radka, Abner, Maget, Jeff, Govianni, Sable

The World Bank fitness center will not be the same without its friendly and extremely efficient staff. No to outsourcing!

what happened to participatory decision making - WB management shoots itself in the foot yet again - does not staff have any say ?

Please don't change this. Our gym is great and one of the few nice things left at the World Bank.

I strongly recommend keeping the WB Fitness center as it is and not outsourcing.

I agree that it should not be outsourced but that might mean, which is probably fair, that monthly fees will go up a bit. That seems like a fair compromise considering the cost of gyms across the city.

With three quarters of all classes taught by volunteers, it would be wholly irrational to outsource the gym to a private operator--there is no way that current member prices could remain at the same low level--unless management wishes to see a reduction in staff members' ability to be healthy and productive..

This is something that needs to be evaluated very carefully. The Center has been effectively managed under Mike's leadership and it would be a big mistake to bring outside staff, let alone the pride and devotion from Bank Staff..The Fitness Center is a symbol of success from the dedicated staff who see to it the programs they manage or teach are run smoothly with highest quality...
