No to proposed outsourcing of the World Bank's gym

This will move costs from payroll to "other" but not likely to result in significant, if any, cost reduction.

We have developed a presonal relationship with the professional staff at the gym that adds so much value to the time spent there. That cannot be replaced.

I truely believe that outsourcing the staff would be detrimental to the success of the fitness center. It will become impersonal and unwelcoming and members will no longer be willing to pay the high costs which are no longer comparable to other gyms.

We have an excellent diverse group pf professionals which can not be replaced by any other outside company.

It's hard to see how outsourced, paid staff, could be cheaper than 70% volunteer staff who are cost free.

Outsourcing is rarely overturned, even when the results of outsourcing show to be negative benefit.

Absolutely critical to keep the current staff and arrangement. My experience with outsourced options have been terrible

As a federal employee, I have been a member of many gyms staffed by contractors. The staff turnover is typically very high, while the knowledge and expertise are low. The World Bank Fitness should retain its stable, knowledgeable, compassionate staff for the benefit of all.

Having been a member of many gyms, the Fitness Center is simply unique with the level of support and understanding it provides to members. The Center staff are attuned to the needs of the World Bank and provide a welcoming and caring environment that is an oasis from the stress of our work. This supportive environment has taken years to develop and will be lost if any outsourcing were to occur.

We have skilled fitness trainers, who each have a different speciality, their talents are well used and very much appreciated. It would be a terrible loss to have new trainers who do not know the Bank environment and the people. It is a crucial success of the Fitness Center!
