Absolutely not. Need to stop building period for a while. Fix the weekly sewage spills first.

Don't destroy our beautiful town. We get plenty of tourists without adding these hotels.

We do not want to turn this coast into the next Miami or Daytona. Keep the current limitations to density and size.

Please no hotels. There isn’t any parking on the island and it’s a mad house. We don’t need this. Vote no!

We have owned a condo on Siesta Key for almost 30 years. One of the reasons my family bought was the Zoning code banning high rise buildings and the quaintness of Siesta Key. So much has changed in the past 30 years. Since increasing the parking at the public beach, we can hardly walk past the public beach without having to step over people. I am most concerned for the impact on the ecosystem. I am also concerned that it is hard enough to get on and off the key due to all the traffic from increased people getting to the beach. If people want a high rise, there are plenty of options on St. Petes, Fort Meyers, etc. This is not what long term owners signed up for. I also own a home in Upstate NY, building codes are rarely able to be reversed. We even have a ban on homeowners who reside in the village renting their home for less than 1 month. Keep it the way it is and we should have stopped adding a long time ago to maintain what we all bought into.

Siesta has more than enough traffic. Lots of accidents. Bad one involving the motorcyclist today. Too many people as is. Don’t increase the population density, it’s dangerous!

I vehemently oppose destroying our island with these high rise hotels. We have current regulations for a reason to protect the life style that thousands of residents chose. You will be destroying our life and our property values. We need to count not big corporations!
