Leave Siesta Key alone! Don't make it like Miami or another major beach, it has such wonderful character so plewse leave it as it is!

Have been a resident my entire life and it would be a shame if they began building these mega hotels, siesta is perfect how it is, build these hotels elsewhere!

One of the most beautiful things about Siesta Key is the walking view all around the key. Tall hotels will block all of that. Really hope it can retain it's small village feel.

I have enjoyed my two stays on Siesta Key, largely because it isn't over-built, and still hosts a number of small, family-friendly lodgings.
