This is a barrier island and is dense enough. Keep Sarasota County special. If anyone (other than developers) wants huge hotels on small parcel, Miami is waiting for you.

Please do not ruin beautiful, peaceful, serene Siesta Key with large complexes. We go there twice a year and have for 30 years and it would break my heart to see that happen.

For the last 3 days, I Deakt with the horrific odor of raw sewage due to a construction project on Beach Rd,, where I maintain a gold standard Florida Friendly landscape. Meanwhile, most landscape services over fertilize and plant non-native species that require more water and nutrients than our environment offers. Siesta Key does not have the infastructure for greater population density. Tourists and part-time residents do not have an understanding of the delicate situations of our ecosystems.

Public safety is a priority and that is the main reason we have a law against increasing density or intensity on Barrier Islands. Please refer to the Comprehensive Plan which states the reasons clearly. You have pushed and pushed the limits to reasonable, safe development and if you don't stop now, the voters will rise up and stop you!
