Siesta Key cannot support mega hotels. It would spoil this beautiful island not only from a beauty aspect but most importantly from an environmental aspect. There are already enough places for people to rent on the island. Also think of the added traffic problems created by adding an big hotel.

Please NO, we only come there because there are no huge crowds even on busy weekends we can find a spot to park and a place on the beach! And get into Restaraunts!!

I have been coming to Siesta Key for over 50 years and in that time l have witnessed the over-development of the Key. When you add these mega developments it impacts the already overcrowding of this beautiful beach and thus the environmental impact and imprint more people create, adds an unsightly eyesore to the landscape just as Crystal Sands has and is not warranted because there are already so many accommodations. We do not want another Miami Beach or Panama City beach. Mega rises are not warranted, wanted or needed on this small beautiful barrier island that is Siesta Key.

I grew up in Sarasota and plan on moving back soon. I do not want our city to become another huge tourist trap. Broward County was destroyed by the growth. Not for Sarasota.

NO to big hotels in Siesta Key. I vacation the every year because it's not like Ft. Lauderdale, Myrtle Beach, or Miami. It needs to stay that way. Mega hotels not needed!!
