I own property on Siesta Key and have been coming down since the early 70’s. A lot has changed but these are unacceptable proposals. The infrastructure can not handle those that come now.

As a Sarasota native and homeowner, I am against grossly changing the current zoning codes to allow for giant hotels on siesta key. It will forever change our quiet hometown jewel and allow for further over development of the rest of the county.

Hooray for this grass roots petition. People say that the number of Siesta Key residents is so small that even if we unite, we can be easily out-voted by the rest of Sarasota. So we must make our voices loud and clear.

Siesta key is very special because of its quaintness. Large resort hotels makes it very commercial and like any other beach town . I’ve always held a great love in my heart for Siesta key.

There is no road infrastructure to support the explosion in traffic that would would result and there is no way to reasonably expand the roads system on Siesta Key! The traffic situation is already absurd.
