I have been displaced so many times over my career by cheap imported labor from these low wage countries. This will only exacerbate American tech worker problems we are already facing finding jobs.

The HR392 is not the solution to the Green card backlog. The immigration issues have to be discussed during the appropriate legislative process nor being amended to appropriation bills.

The ratio of GC given are currently close to the population ratios of the countries, however removing the caps will only bring in more immigrants from the same country, resulting in reduction of diversity and after a while the next generation of law makers will not be from a diverse culture. We should keep it the same way or slightly modify it. #NoHR392

I've lost my job of 17 years to H-1B with certificate, while i have MS in Computer Science from NYU, and 2 BS in Computer Science and Mathematics. I couldn't find a job for the last 2 years. Please help American IT workers and cancel HR392!!!

HR392 is nothing but an India First entitlement bill that rewards cheap low tier Indian fraudsters, and crowds out other countries from obtaining employment based green cards. Politicians have not thought this through, and this will turn into what the H1B lottery system has become.

Eliminating per country quotas would then have the following entirely predictable effects:
❗️America's policy of diversity in immigration would be replaced by an India-first policy; India would get nearly 100 percent of employment-based green cards for a time, eventually stabilizing at around 75 percent;
❗️The backlogs that now just affect India, China, and the Philippines would affect all countries;
❗️No one would be able to get an employment-based green card directly. One would have to get an H-1B or L visa first; and
❗️The green card backlogs would remain except that India's pain would be eased by inflicting it on other countries.
In short, enacting this bill would create a trainwreck in the immigration system. But that has not stopped a majority of the members of the House from co-sponsoring this bill; another illustration of the Fundamental Paradox of Immigration Reform.

I am all for fairness and first come first serve and etc. But US should first fix the fraud issue in case of thousands and thousands of underqualified immigrants from certain countries , then make the system first come first serve. As long as those thousands of scammers are filling up the backlog, mixing the backlog is just purely wrong.

Students and high skilled immigrants will choose other destinations since 7 years of waiting is too long. Skilled people from china and India will increase day by day since there is no waiting for them anymore and in long term we will have the same backlog problem.
HR392 is the biggest threat for the U.S. society.
