We love our quaint little key and to start allowing this type of development would go against everything that makes Siesta Key the wonderful place it is.

Stop the overdevelopment on Siesta Key and the surrounding area. Don’t ruin Sarasota anymore.

What are they thinking. Has anyone tried to get on and off the Key on any given weekend. For that matter, any sunny day! Enough!!!

My husband and I come here every year, to enjoy the peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery that Siesta Key has to offer. Allowing high-rises and extremely dense population would ruin it. And we would certainly stop visiting Siesta Key.

Keep Siesta Key like it is, don’t bring in big hotels. Don’t lose the special feeling it has!

Perhaps these hotels will have landing pads on roofs for helicopters to transport the service persons to and fro SK given the hour plus traffic jams on both bridges with current density? Sarcasm evoked by the mere entertainment of any such proposal. The helicopters will be for the guests, of course.

The overpopulation of Siesta Key would be detrimental to its size and charm. There is not enough room for additional parking now and traffic is already crazy.

I chose to come to Siesta Key in 1996 because of its charm and small town feel. I want to end my days here, but it is becoming more like the Miami Beach I want to avoid.

Please don’t allow high rises any higher than we already have . It will spoil the beauty of the area and make our already horrible traffic even worse .
