This project should definitely not proceed without detailed modeling and, as necessary, engineered adjustments to avoid interruptions or delays in traffic flow both for vehicles and bicyclists. Bicycling will be an increased method of access to the beach has electric bikes become more pervasive and parking more difficult. Presently, the crossing of US 41 and Stickney Point on a bicycle is extremely precarious because the light cycles are too short and people take irresponsible right turns without stopping. If the government allows this project to go forward unabated without the proper traffic modeling and adjustment it will have disabling injuries and fatality as its sad Legacy

Siesta Key is already so overwhelmed by the number of visitors that the traffic and beach are at their limits. The charm of Siesta is the low rise nature that makes it different than the east coast. Please don’t destroy our home to make a few developers even more wealthy than they already are!

If we wanted our town to look like Miami, we would have moved to Miami. We do not want Siesta Key to look like some city on the East coast nor do we want the crowd that comes with it. Siesta Key does not have the infrastructure required to accomodate the needs and waste of this type of buildings.
