We already have enough stores around us. We do not need a store here. I will not shop at any dollar general if it is approved.

It isn't just the Dollar General issue! It is the commercializing of our community. One commercial big box will lead to the next one and then the next one until we have our very own Riverdale Road in our yards..... Let's not focus just on No to Dollar General but NO to commercializing all together!

vote no to Dollar General. There are 3 Dollar General stores within 3 miles of Raymond Hill and Fischer Rd. Why add another in a rural area?

I think a Dollar General would be wonderful. I live 3 miles South on Fischer and having a quick place to stop and grab something would be an outstanding addition to the community. I do not like going into Halls because it is a place of begrime. I cannot wait for the Dollar General because I can buy high quality dollar items which I may or may not put out in my front yard next to my toilets or across the street from the lovely trailer park community.

There are already 2 dollar stores within 5 miles, no need for another. The value of the existing homes in the area will go down if the area is rezoned commercial.

A consistent theme in these comments is preserving the rural character and charm that brought us all here. Interestingly, that is one of the express goals of Coweta County's land use plan. It states "Coweta County will foster a New Frontier of rural character" to achieve communities with a "uniquely historic sense of place that nurtures family and cultural values..." The current zoning furthers that vision.
Dollar General's proposed use is inconsistent with the vision and desires of the County and the people who live here. Dollar General can do business in one of the many nearby commercial areas that are under utilized, and do so without fundamentally changing the character of the area. Dollar General's rezoning request should be denied.

I do not want a Dollar General coming into my neighborhood. Allowing. A Dollar General would become the first of many unnecessary businesses to open. I spend at least four hours a day driving and the last thing I want to do is have to sit in traffic when I'm two miles from home.
