I am a real estate broker with 33 years experience on the south side. In my opinion, this is an awkward location for a Dollar General store. These stores are usually seen on major highways like Hwy. 29 in Palmetto and Hwy 16 east of Newnan in predominately commercial areas. This would be a classic case of spot zoning and I feel it is unnecessary for the betterment of the immediate community. To the contrary, I feel it would be a detriment. Also remember, our high school students will be driving right past there twice a day throughout the school year. Let's don't place them in any unnecessary danger with cars coming in and out of Dollar General.

My wife and I are opposed to rezoning this area and believe it would be a detriment to the residential nature of the area and would open the door for unwanted and totally unnecessary commercial activity. Such developments would cause us to consider moving elsewhere.

Beaconsfield resident.
Commercial properties bring congestion (trucks for restocking), noise (dumpsters being emptied), and trash which brings rats, raccoons, and vermin. This is NOT the place for another Dollar General.

Please do not rezone and allow a Dollar General store to locate here. Traffic is congested already with school traffic and people heading to interstate via Fisher to avoid Hwy 154.

The traffic at this intersection with high schoolers commuting to Northgate is bad enough. We do not need to make this area a commercial one. There are already enough stores close by to shop at.

The is commercial property at the other end of Raymond Hill and Fischer Road, not to mention Thomas Crossroads. There is no need to disrupt a rural community with commercial buildings!

Also considering the current traffic in this area the addition of a Dollar General would only serve to exacerbate the problem. Let's keep the area residential.
