Use the existing development capacity that the city has (decades worth!) and don't destroy historic homes to build boxes that have a lifecycle of twenty years.

Affordable housing should be built in the most accessible of places...and that (luckily for us) means Wallingford. The alternative would be to spend countless more dollars shuttling in people who are less well off so that they can provide the retail and service labor that the Wallingford single family dwelling population relies on.

Me and many of my single family home owning neighbors in Wallingford love and use the bike lanes and pocket parks and wish there were more things to walk to in our neighborhood rather than empty parking lots. Renters are an important component of any city and are people of all backgrounds, classes, and situations. If you don't like living in a community together with your fellow residents of these United States, move to a gated community or Trump Tower.

I have lived on Densmore Ave N for 26 years and intend on living at my home till the end of my life. Same for my brother and family across the street next block. I know the same for my neighbors up and down the block who have lived here even longer and are contributing citizens that love Seattle for what it is.

Single family home owners are being decimated & driven out! We have rights too! Affordable housing does mean that we who have worked hard to maintain & live in these wonderful neighborhoods need to be driven out!

Destroying 100 year old houses and replacing with with 6 townhomes priced above $800 does not equal increasing affordable housing. This HALA upzone is a sham.
