STOP these Data Centers in Frederick County! Preserve the beauty here! What happened to preservation of our land?! Data Centers will bring pollution and added burden to our electrical grid and water resources!

I am against the proposed data center near Middle Road/Apple Valley Road, and any other proposed data center development in Frederick County, Virginia. Concerning the current proposal, it is in the vicinity of an historic viewshed, and the county already has problems with water and electric needs. Light pollution is another issue. We need to keep the diminishing cultural landscape intact and not start the incursion of these monolithic structures that will threaten the way of life in Frederick County. Just look at Prince William and Loudon counties to get a glimpse of what will come if these are allowed. This county is always lured by the promise of tax dollars and has a long history of changing zoning and allowing development which is contrary to the county's needs. I remember the proposed silica plant which became a Hood facility nearby. I remember the numerous board meetings always approving development and zoning changes during my 31 years living in Frederick County. Any development will not increase our labor force, most of what is imported from other areas such as West Virginia, other than initial construction needs. This issue needs to be voted on by the public as a referendum and not considered by the board which I feel does not have the county's public interest, but only for increasing Frederick County's tax base.

We are already in a drought situation and have been warned it will get worse. Data centers use a phenomenal amount of water. I looked up places that approved data centers in their areas. I recall a couple, New Jersey and Kentucky, who are extremely sorry they ever agreed to it. There were at least 5 others. Please DO NOT ALLOW THIS.

We borrow our natural resources from the generations to come. It is our job to protect what we’ve been entrusted with. No to data centers.

I support responsible economic growth in Frederick County. However, I feel the data centers will ruin the integrity of our beautiful landscape, cause unwanted pollution and raise electric rates to rise so high that homeowners may be forced to leave their homes for a more affordable place to live

I grew up off Middle Rd, please don’t strip that gorgeous area of its resources! A data center would destroy the natural beauty of the region.

The uncontrolled growth unleashed upon Frederick County is killing our once-pleasant area and far exceeds infrastructure to handkevit. Stop! And let us enjoy living here again.
