I have been feeling a great deal of anxiety thinking about data centers coming to our beautiful area. I have serious concerns about the long-term impact this could have on our community. This is not a decision that should be taken lightly. Once these facilities are built, there is no going back.
These data centers consume significant amounts of land, energy, and water. We need to carefully consider whether this is the right fit for our region. What happens to these massive buildings if they are no longer needed in the future? How will that affect our landscape and local economy?
I respectfully ask that you truly listen to the people who live here. Many of us value this area for its natural beauty, tourism, and quality of life. Large-scale industrial development could change the character of our community in ways that cannot be undone.
I would love to see our area continue to thrive as a beautiful destination and a place where families can enjoy a high quality of life. Please take the time to consider the long-term impact on the people who call this place home.

Please quit making our beautiful Frederick County into Northern Virginia. We don’t want it. It will put a strain on our electrical and water resources and explode the amount of people overpopulating our area. 90% of the people do NOT support this.

We do not need this, but how about making 3 lanes on 81 before we even attempt a data center here?

Farmers live by the water available to us. We are already in a drought. Data centers will only exacerbate an already precarious situation.

Big money can be made by a very small number of people who don’t live anywhere near these data centers. Just say nooooooo!

No we absolutely do not want data centers here in Frederick county. With the drought already in place how do you think the data centers are a good choice, I’ll wait.

Data centers will harm our local landscape, replace farmland, increase electric bills, and destroy our water supply. These data centers will in no way improve our community. They will only cause harm. I strongly oppose these data centers. If you desire to harm the citizens that make this town what it is, or wish for may of us to leave in search of towns that align with our values - then this would make sense.

I’ve worked for data center companies. Please don’t add any around here. We already cannot support our water needs, electricity supply or road infrastructure.
