THEY REJECTED THE REZONING PROPOSAL AND OUR NEIGHBORHOOD IS OFFICIALLY SAFE!! WE WON THIS BATTLE AGAINST DENSITY AND I AM BEYOND THRILLED THAT OUR LAND WILL STAY PROTECTED. STAY VIGILANT BECAUSE WE WILL ALWAYS BE READY TO DEFEND OUR COMMUNITY AGAIN IF WE HAVE TO!!
The residents of Logan Woods are in a battle to save the character and integrity of their neighborhood. A property owner on Cherry Wood Drive is seeking to rezone his land and change the density to allow 44 (!!!!) homes to be built on his 17.5 acres. Currently, only ONE single family home is allowed per 2.25 acres. The parcels of land in this community are a MINIMUM of 1.14 acres, and we are vehemently opposed to allowing this change. Cherry Wood Drive currently has 39 homes in total, and this project would add 44 to the middle of the street! If this proposal is approved by Growth Management and Collier County Commissioners, it will set a precedent for future alterations of land use and density. The main reason owners buy homes in this type of community is specifically because of the acreage, the wildlife, the ability to use our property as we see fit, and the unique character all of this provides. There is no NEED for a group of tightly compacted homes to be built, and the proposal goes against the current and future land use regulations for Golden Gate Estates. Please support us and sign our petition that we will be presenting to the Collier County Commission.

We need to keep our area the way it is!
We don’t need more traffic in our area, we have enough! Our middle school is over crowed (OMS)as well the High School(GCHS). This project will have a negative impact in our area!!!

Born and raised in that area! That is part of its beauty and appeal, that there aren’t sooo many homes and you have acreage! They should leave the estates communities alone they’ve already over built the rest of Naples

There's an example of this off of 951, I believe it's at the end of 5th Ave SW. It's not good. The estates are larger land parcels for a reason. If someone wants to put 44 homes on 17.5 acres, purchase property that's zoned for that. Don't take away our rights.

We oppose changes to the existing zoning requirements for the properties of Logan Woods! We feel such a change to the density of subdivided lands would add to the burden of environmental damage, traffic logistics and overall quality of life for residents and wildlife! Stop the madness of unrestricted growth!

This is an attempt to profit at the expense of an established community. The rules governing subdividing are clear and must stand. To more than double the number of existing homes in the community at the whim of one owner would be reprehensible.

Awful! There is a reason people choose to move there for land and to be with nature, these poor animals will have zero place to live, so
Sad for people and the animals...
