This is completely ridiculous. I can't believe that this shameful facade is allowed to go on. It's structured sexism, because the whole point of the school trouser policy in the first place was to make girls less distracting!! WHAT?!? How about instead of sexualising teenage girls, who are probably already uncomfortable about their body as it is, you teach people that girls are not sexual objects, and should be allowed to wear what they want. Besides, anyone that is already breaking the rules, is going to continue breaking them, regardless of this. Don't penalise parents and students who have bought the correct trousers, especially if it means making them stupid amounts of money for new ones, which will probably be a poor fit. Very dissapointed with the school. Perhaps it should concentrate more on exams and less on the uniform policy, which already limits children on finding who they are, and being comfortable in their body's.

It's utterly ridiculous the amount of teachers that tell students to change their trousers, for frankly absurd reasons such as, studs on pockets or the skinniness of the trouser. Since when did this effect children's education?

My son occasionally uses his school trousers to dress more smartly with a shirt and tie - that won't be possible with a school logo showing on the trousers. This is a step too far for a school uniform policy - it penalises parents who have kept within current uniform parameters.

I don't like the idea of a change that results in an increase in uniform costs for parents.

having a certain type of necessary school trouser is enough let alone branded trousers, it costs a lot more to make, supply and buy which Is therefore inconvient for all. it also comes with multiple other down sides and I cannot think of one good strong argument for having branded school trousers

It's completely pointless the school should be worrying about GCSE but it doesn't matter what the trousers we wear at the moment look like because they don't affect our learning

Making children wear these trousers is utterly ridiculous and the price is outroutrageous. To buy both my children two pairs of trousers each it will cost me £80.I could buy 4 pairs elsewhere for under £30.This Is ridiculous
