Why would this request be approved? What value does 120 more homes provide to Argyle? I'm not against progress, but I also do not wish to be a Coppell, Frisco or Southlake anytime soon.

Keep Argyle rural. This type of housing would just be the beginning. Anyone remember what Keller used to look like? Slowly our small town community is being taken away.

Stick with the original development plan which maintains 2.5 acre lots and maintains the character of Argyle; vote no on this proposal.

I totally agree. That is absolutely my question. Why in the world are developers even getting this far? It's a direct violation of the master plan (which I already think is too dense) and a waste of our time. It feels like the staff is ignoring the wishes of the people by even sending these requests. We must stand up as citizens because if we don't , these will be approved and we can never get back the beautiful trees, close knit community and rural feel once it's gone. We'll just be another suburban jungle.

Argyle's rural atmosphere is why all of us live here. Hickory Hill Rd, with its park like setting, is one of our greatest assets. I am confident Council will do the right thing and listen to the residents. My question is this: why does Town STAFF keep allowing developers to ask for zoning changes? Why can't STAFF tell developers-this plan you have brought to us does not meet the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Isn't that what we pay them for? They are experienced and educated in town management. They need to be vetting these developers requests BEFORE it has to go P&Z and Council. Just my opinion.
