61 out of 1000, sort of an epic fail wouldn't you say? It's done, go find something else to protest like your neighbor having the wrong kind of grass on his lawn or two to many cats.

This is not the suitable place for a pot shop.

This pot shop should not be granted a permit in this location (Williwaw Sub.) on Bogard Road, Wasilla. It is in very close proximity to several schools with vulnerable and impressionable children. The driveway/parking does not meet with code; it is in a residential neighborhood that has been fraught with trouble in the past and this will only exacerbate the problems in which it may never recover. There are some optimistic signs of new homes being built in Williwaw, and this will only cause property values to drop if this permit is approved for this location. It is also clearly stated that no "adult businesses" are allowed in this area by code (the code was written prior to pot shops even being an issue - but the application for permit clearly states that it is for "adults only". For the protection of the children, property values, and the overall betterment for the neighborhood, this permit should be denied. NO to this permit!

Why in the world would this even be considered? In a residential neighborhood, I can not even fathom this!

Michelle, thank you for your comment. Here is the Matsu Borough's website which shows you that this property is in fact 100% located in the Williwaw Subdivision, which IS a residential neighborhood. Now you now. http://www.matsugov.us/myproperty/mydetail.aspx?pID=22362

This area is in the process of being revamped and cleaned up. Newer homes are being built and it is becoming a family neighborhood. This is not a good location for such a storefront, please reconsider.

I do not believe this is an appropriate street for almost any business. This is a neighborhood street with homes all up and down it, no one could get to this business without driving down a residential dirt road.

Keep pot out of their lot-it's not wanted in residential areas with bus stops and kids.

I am completely against this pot shop opening! I live in this neighborhood. I believe it would increase traffic flow to much, cause safety concerns for children living in this area (especially for kids go to and coming home from school) and there would also be a chance that property taxes would get increased. As a single mom I want my son to be raised in a neighborhood that doesn't have to worry about the constant flow of traffic a retail pot shop would bring and who knows what the people are like. I also do not need my property taxes increased because money is already tight enough as it is. Please DO NOT allow this shop to be opened!

I chose this neighborhood for my grandchildren to be safe to play and not have to worry about the type of people this shop will attract, and the traffic that will come with it. I chose this area because of the change for the better I saw. That will not happen anymore with this shop being allowed to open here. I will not feel safe anymore in my home if it is allowed to open because of the unwanted increase in people who don't care about our neighborhood or what damage they will do. Please allow us to have a safe and beautiful area that we can walk and feel safe. Do not allow this shop to be opened.

It's a shame that they are going to put a pot shop in this area when they are trying to clean up the area, they have been cleaning up this are for years

Property Tax and resale concerns. The proposed location is accessed off a residential gravel road that currently is not maintained for high retail commercial purposes. This thought brings forth the concerns for property taxes for road maintenance at a commercial level. Homeowners May not be able to afford.

Sorry to see a pot shop come in the area when they have been trying to clean up the area from drugs and violence
