Well done everyone involved for making a stand on behalf of the environment and the safety of beach goers. We are continually being asked to compromise the natural world for the sake of short-term economic activities. This proposal stinks from every angle and should be vigorously opposed!!!!

Should not be so close to popular beaches. Was down cliffs yesterday and saw all the surf schools and how close tuna pen will be. Just money grabbing stupidity, as well as little concern for ecosystem around island.

Definitely not supportive of the tuna cage at Victor harbor. My husband surfs and we hope our 2 boys will follow in his footsteps. I love this coastline and although we know the risk of sharks already, introducing a tourism activity that brings with it a potential increase of sharks to our local beaches has me concerned. Can we sue the council if any shark injuries or deaths occur if proven this tourist activity has resulted in a shark increase?

Been surfing in and around Victor Harbor for 20 years. I'm also an Environmental Scientist. This is an expensive, non-sensical idea that will attract predators.
