I kayak around the bluff and granite island and quite honestly I won't feel safe in the waters swimming or kayaking if this thing goes through

I am an environmental scientist, but you don't need to be to know this is going to do more harm than good to the tourism industry of the Fleurieu peninsula after inevitable shark attacks in nearby waters.

4 to 6 jobs with the Granite Island kiosk and maybe 4 to 6 jobs with the Tuna cage. Sharks WILL congregate under this cage then move out looking for food . imagine the effect on the whole tourism industry down here. A lot more jobs will go. What are the bigger plans that these developers are looking at? This is a no Brainer idea. Thousands and thousands of surfers and water users will remember this at the next election.

Didn't anything get learned at Pt Lincoln with the tuna farms? They know the farms attract sharks and deteriorate the underwater environment in the surrounding area. I didn't agree with it there and I don't for Victor Harbour. I no longer eat tuna.

Our beautiful coast and ocean has been a destination for tourists for years and the number of tourists increases every year, with out man made attractions. This particular development risks creating an imbalance with the natural environment with disastrous consequences that could ruin our beautiful environment and healthy tourist industry. It is a bad idea.

Just have to look along spencer gulf beaches and see the increase of man made debris since the introduction of aqua culture in the area.- Hmm . - More sharks / less penguins plus beach junk on the south coast just to offset a swim with tuna? - how could that be a good idea ?. NO! NO! NO! to Tuna pens at Victor - Go to Port Lincoln the tuna capital if you want to swim with tuna.

The tuna cage in victor harbour is irresponsible, and definitely not a benefit for the coast, except those positioned to profit from the venture
