Say NO to the "Swim with the Tuna" experience at Victor Harbor, say NO to aquaculture on the Fleurieu.

Why did they fast-tract the development application over the christmas period, with little chance for the public to respond? Why do they relocate if this was of any success in Port Lincoln? Why did Swim With The Tuna sold the business to Oceanic Victor? The two directors of Oceanic Victor are also the CEO and Operations Manager of Tony's Tuna International, Tony Šantić and Michael "Mick" Dyer.! Fishy ?! May be more money than senses!? Why would i swim with their burley ? Move it way offshore where people can enjoy a sailing experience if they want to swim with what was once wild-life? Last will ever Victor Harbor Council and executive be a little more socially and culturally conscious ?

This is more shark attraction than tourist attraction and an irresponsible act towards all those that swim in these waters. Guess who won't be getting votes in the future !!

Save our beaches

I grew up swimming, boogie boarding and fishing at Victor Harbor. I don't want a big floating burley pot in the waters of Encounter Bay.

The negative is there is a good chance this proposal will bring in more sharks. the positive is there is a good chance some people will make some money. no one can be sure what may happen but it seems to me that the potential risk to many should be more important than the potential income of a few.

Are these GM tuna?????????????????? Don't want it! Cages hold back homeostasis in nature.

Tuna cages cause degradation to the ocean floor and attract sharks, if the oceans are managed correctly they grow fish naturally and abundantly.

This is one of the worst ideas for this coastline that is possibly the best family holiday and recreational area, that DOES NOT NEED 24/7 Burley attracting sharks! People will die, the coast will suffer.......stop the greed!

My family have fished (prof)Pt Lincoln for over 100 years in tuna,prawn, lobster, scale industry. My husband ex ab diver, rep aust free diving comps, brothers surf. Boston Bay has gone from pristine beaches to slimey weed banks full razor fish for the general population to slice their feet on due to the high organic content in the water from fish farming. As for pointers, to have two sightings(one underwater) in two months at the boat ramp near the town jetty on the front main street, has never been heard off. There are more sharks in shore. I have been following this for 50 years.

What a stupid idea. Totally against it.

This proposal appears fraught with downside, smells of fish, and limited upside for our community.

Keep our beach safe for our families to swim at. Don't attract the Sharks to our safe waters

Shortsighted small gain for a few.... Potential loss of lives and income for many...

Almost certainly dirty bribes going on here. Plenty of other worthwhile tourist ventures without endangering current wildlife and water users.

This is a short sighted non-sustainable cheap tourist gimmick with no bennefit to the environment only potential threat to all creatures in the ocean.

I no longer live there however when I come back for holidays I love the beaches there and I know this would change that dramatically
