For many more reasons than just sharks this is a poorly thought out, destined to fail venture and far more public consultation should have and should take place. Thanks

Its a no brainer ! You bring tuna to a location and sharks will follow. Say NO to the swim with the tuna proposal. Victor Harbor is a one of the jewels in SA's crown. Don't muck this one up like they have with Glenelg. Just leave it alone. There is not many left due thanks to Mr Greed.

Please do not go ahead with the planned tuna swim facility as you are going to loose holiday makers who want to visit VH.

The proposed site at Victor Harbor is sure to attract sharks in large numbers. The beach nearby is used by thousands of families.

Victor for Whales, Pt Lincoln for Tuna!!
Pt Linclon has 'safe shark fenced' swimming areas .... we will need them if the tuna pens go ahead.
Victor Council sold out the community to get Granite Island Kiosk upgraded!!! Vote the councillors out next time you vote.

The Victor Council hates surfers despite the money they bring to the place. How about an artificial reef to boost numbers of surfers?? The first sighting of a white or any other sharks in numbers will significantly effect summer tourist numbers and ultimately land prices. On so many levels this is just so dumb.

If there is a shark attack within three years of this tuna pen opening, legal action for compensation against the council and minister will ensue

What do you expect to happen. The sea floor of the area under the nets will be fowled and choked. As in Pt Lincoln. There are some nice dives in and around Encounter Bay, the reefs will be destroyed and fish will be gone from the area. How many people do you think will dive with the tuna, not too many. DUMB!. Promote the beauty of the place, don't exploit it. Hate to see this happen to a place I've known extremely well and enjoyed as my parents and theirs before them have.
Yes, promote diving and surfing, that's where the money is.

Short sighted by the DAC and local council. An obvious, direct risk to public safety and they are proceeding? What about the tourist $$ that surfers bring to the area all year around? This is completely unacceptable.

Poor idea - poorly positioned, bad for tourism and visitors wanting safe swimming and surfing beaches, and inappropriate in the area (not a tuna farming region).

Enough is enough. Find other intelligent, creative ways to enhance tourism that don't negatively impact the(our!!!) ecosystem.

Why did they fast-tract the development application over the christmas period, with little chance for the public to respond? Why do they relocate if this was of any success in Port Lincoln? Why did Swim With The Tuna sold the business to Oceanic Victor? The two directors of Oceanic Victor are also the CEO and Operations Manager of Tony's Tuna International, Tony Šantić and Michael "Mick" Dyer.! Fishy ?! May be more money than senses!? Why would i swim with their burley ? Move it way offshore where people can enjoy a sailing experience if they want to swim with what was once wild-life? Last will ever Victor Harbor Council and executive be a little more socially and culturally conscious ?
