No Tuna farm for Victor Harbor!

I want my kids to swim without any concerns in the bay. This will effect generations of locals and tourists going forward. All for a quick pay check. Stop being Adelaide, start being realistic and act like a capital city - think about our future not a tactical solution. Granite island could be anything - let's make it something without a tuna + other native fish pen.

Concerned with pollution, affect on marine life, attracting sharks, animal cruelty, impact on coastal landscape, exclusion zone and much more!

I have a strong believe that this cage is animal cruelty and a company's greed to make more money

We don't need this tourist dollar at the cost of another ....and this tuna cage will increase shark numbers to the surrounding beaches increasing the risk of shark attacks.

I want my children to be safe when they are at the beach. I will not pay to what you call an attraction!!

It's bad enough watching the world be spoiled by money and the lust for it let alone having it also happen in our own backyard.

This ideas has nothing to do watsoever with the South coast of the Region. Keep it where it could sort of make sense : port Lincoln... this guy have more money than sense, and use their money to leverage local and state government support government .... shameful.... some extension of briberies in my view.

Got to be a better idea for granite island than this. If you have a million plus dollars to invest use your fricken brain and do something sustainable

Caging animals is cruel and this is no exception. Studies confirm this will attract more sharks to within a hundred metres from beach and swimmers. Ocean reefs and weeds will detiorate because of it. Has been a lack of consultation and studies. This is based on greed and money only, is not popular with public and township of Victor Harbor.

Let's be smarter about our tourism and the sustainable use of our environment! This concept is outdated thinking.

This just seems like a cash grab for council to stuff there pockets! Corruption at its best!

REGARDING 'Swim with the tuna' Decline it immediately. It is unethical for the tuna, the endangered Southern Blue Fin, as the tuna will be kept captive. Unlike 'see the whale tours' this cage-like environment is a tiny environment (not the usual 200kg Blue Fin Tuna usually swim) and is therefore disgusting, cramped and off-putting - in fact, just sad. People are educated and increasingly repulsed by 'cage-like' conditions of animals!! Chemicals used to clean this caged facility will inevitably leak through the water and WILL have an effect, over time, on the natural health of the area nearby. Outrageous! And of course, this tuna pen could attract sharks. Don't be resented by the local community (and beyond), don't be responsible for children/adults being eaten and/or hospitalised due to shark attacks, don't be responsible for irreversible environmental damage. STOP this proposal, DECLINE it now. Listen to the majority of locals who do NOT want this. Do what is right by the locals, the health of the tuna and the health of the coastline. We will stand strong for the protection of local swimmers, protection of the tuna and the health of the coastline the whole way!! We need your support now.
