Say NO to the "Swim with the Tuna" experience at Victor Harbor, say NO to aquaculture on the Fleurieu.

No. All this is asking for is more shark attacks on local swimmers, snorkelers and most significantly surfers. Victor Harbour has enough tourism, and last time I checked, most people living here are retired and beach house goers. Let us enjoy the serenity as it is. Shark attacks will only DECREASE tourism. Hence, nobody wins here.

its time to think of people over profit... This is ridiculous and is putting the people who enjoy the ocean in its entirety at risk... Will the tuna farm owners take responsibility if there was to be a fatal shark attack?? If not then the council? Or tourism SA? Since there has not been one along the Middleton stretch.

go to ballina and see the food chain bubbling away on the beaches as a natural occurrence and the loss of life that has resulted in, and they want to make it happen at victor. for Gods sake Victor council don't be so foolish and short sighted

Keep nuisance predators away from our beaches and marine life. The worlds leading shark scientists have studied this proposal and have concluded it is almost certain to attract large sharks. Why cage a threatened species? Don't set a precedent for future expansion of aquaculture activities on the Fleurieu Say NO to the planned tuna swim aqua culture development for Victor Harbor.

No thanks. There are many other options for generating income that don't harm the life that live in this part of the coast.

Greed breeds stupidity. Yes, you can tweek the rules, but you can't tweek the planet! Wake up.

Having grown up as a lifeguard on the fleurieu peninsula, the thought of this frightens me. Animals are not there for our amusement.

Honour our environment. Don't tinker with it for financial game. No underwater viewing cage.

Leave the environment as is thanks.

The damage to the Marine environment, the loss of trade when surfers stop coming, and the constant burley attracting sharks to the area, not to mention the fact that the noise of motors will deter whales from coming into the area, all ads up to enough reasons for this project to be denied planning approval. Why would we want the conservatory in victor harbor.

It is a no brainer to NOT have this in our beautiful environment. What crazy idea. I don't know one local person that doesn't agree. We get enough tourists without endangering our environment
