"NO" to a MEN's Shelter in our area--Wyckoff/Hart Street, Bushwick BK

There are three schools w/in a few blocks. Bushwick already has 11 shelters!

It's an assault to our neighborhood. There are two schools with heavy foot traffic with children back and forth. The mayor and the district counsel members have no respect to our community and families. We need to stand up and demand our respect from these corrupted politicians. Our tax money is paying for this and in return the politicians don't cares a dam. An investigation is needed to see who is REALLY benefiting from our taxes. My fellow victims to this assault caused by the district council members , DHS & the mayor. PLEASE VOTE OUT THESE CORRUPTED POLITICIANS AND ELECT SOMEONE WHO CARES FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS COMMUNITY. LETS NOT MAKE NO MISTAKES OF ELECTING THE CURRENT DISTRICT COUNCIL MEMBERS TO ANY FUTURE POSITIONS TO REPRESENT US. THEY FAILED.

distribution of stabily housed people with those unstably housed is ethical policy.

I spend a lot of time at Maria Hernandez Park with my 2 kids, and the amount of homeless persons there is already very high, and sometimes problematic, a new shelter in the area doesn't seem the best solution to this problem.

This area can only house older women or families. It is not safe to have a shelter for men of ANY AGE here unless you want young women to abandon this area. There have been assaults on women all around the area and there is no need to increase the crime.

I see there is nothing we can do to change anyone's mind about the location, but we would all be much more comfortable with a change in population. Women, families, or seniors would be welcome. Putting such a large volume of single, homeless men in the middle of a highly trafficed nightlife area, as well as within a three-block radius of two schools is not a well-thought-out plan.

Please consider making it a shelter for homeless senior women, not a shelter for men.

With eleven (11) shelters currently in operation, Bushwick already has its fair share of homeless shelters. Build the shelter in Williamsburg (4 shelters) or Greenpoint (3 shelters) instead. 97 Wyckoff Ave. has a very high volume of pedestrian traffic. This is not a safe location to be used as a shelter for 80 homeless single men.

We need skatepark clean park safe park in our neighborhood. Not the homeless park.

Bushwick has its fair share of shelters, we don't want another so close to our kids.

This is by schools and unacceptable. The city has proven to not take acre of these facilities either.
