Don’t infringe on my 2nd amendment rights that God have us the day we were born! We have done nothing but be law abiding citizens.

Lifelong Resident Lewes, DE The gun that kills the most people in the U.S. is the simple handgun. The proposed feature classifies certain features that add nothing to its 'deadliness', but rather ergonomics. Assault weapons bans have been tried before and had zero effect. You are infringing upon 2nd Amendment Rights to solve a problem that lies elsewhere. When I went to school we had guns in shop, guns in our lockers, guns in our cars, and guns on the school bus. Never a problem. No schools are gun free zones and have become soft targets. Who are these killers of innocent children? They are mentally ill, social misfits, and a product of the ills of our society. The problem is not guns, but that we are raising children who think it ok to murder, regardless of how they do it. Would a bomb, knife, or arson be any less deadly? Hardly... This is feel good legislation that will have no effect whatsoever on solving the problem. It will only make criminals out of law abiding people. Seems to me it is illegal to murder or possess a deadly weapon to commit a felony. Does that stop anyone? Apparently not. Ask yourself why? Years ago, when DUI was a problem, you went for strict enforcement and assigned DUI prosecutors. You could do the same for guns. No plea bargains if guns are used. Guaranteed hard time! That's a far more logical first step. Judges won't like that because they don't like the law to dictate their sentencing authority. Too bad! Bad law is what you propose, not to mention a violation of the 2nd Amendment. If you do this, what's next, you can't exercise your First Amendment Rights until you are 21?

Please say NO to the assault gun ban it didn’t work before and nothing has changed! It infringes upon our rights to choose which fire arms we bear. It will be challenged in court!

I don't believe anyone under 21 should have access to a gun without parental supervision. However, it is my right as an adult to be able to purchase anything i want.

This is absolutely unconstitutional! This WILL NOT stop criminals from obtaining firearms, or committing violent crimes. Hitler disarmed his people too.....before he took away their freedom of speech, and their lives.

It would be irresponsible to punish the law abiding citizens of the State of Delaware by banning so-called assault weapons. Enforce the laws that are already in place.

Infringing upon our constitutional right to bear arms will not be tolerated, it is meritless and illegal.

It is imperative that the term "Assault Rifle or Weapons" be watered down to mean semi-automatic weapons. No one has the right to determine which firearms I am able to posses. The State of Delaware doesn't enforce weapon laws correctly as it is. Until such time that the State of Delaware is able to enforce laws already in place, no one's rights should even be in question.
