It would be irresponsible to punish the law abiding citizens of the State of Delaware by banning so-called assault weapons. Enforce the laws that are already in place.

Ask them to show you any gun that has ever just jumped up and shot someone by itself. it is always the one holding it so maybe they ought to handle that problem before trying to take our gun's

Do.nkt pass these sense-less laws. You are only harming those who follow the laws and do nothing but create criminals to those that follow the laws. How about enforcement of current laws and quit plea dealing with those that commit violence with firearms

When you can guarantee criminals will abide by these laws 100% and me, my family and the law abiding citizens of Delaware and the United States will be safe then we'll talk!

Please vote NO on the newly proposed bill to ban "assault" weapons. Law abiding citizens of the United States of America have a constitution to protect them and it shall not be infringed upon.

Please vote NO on the proposed assault weapons ban. These bans have been proven ineffective in locations that have them. All they do is restrict the rights of law abiding citizens. Yesterday morning, a shooter in Maryland used handgun. Maryland has very strict gun laws and it is illegal for a 17 year old to possess a firearm. No law in place stopped his actions. All more laws do is punish the honest, law abiding citizen who enjoys sport shooting. Delaware already have great laws in place that are ignored by criminals and pled out or dropped by the court systems. We, the law abiding, should not be restricted due to the actions of criminals.

The 2nd Amendment is clear. Any laws effecting the law abiding's ownership of arms in any manor is a violation of this. Laws do not stop criminals

Criminals won’t obey the law. The only thing this will do is make criminals out of law abiding citizens. It’s a social problem not a gun problem. We have had these same guns available since the last 1950’s. What has changed? The guns haven’t, the people have

All the laws you are trying to pass are already in Maryland and they did not stop that school shooting. Delaware's law abiding gun owners 2nd Amendment rights should not be punished for the failures of others. I believe the TRUE agenda is the continued disarmament of the citizens. Why else are the government and police exempt from this act? Either it's you know you can't stop the criminals from getting these weapons or it's that you really don't care so much about our safety as you do taking a step closer to a police state where the government and law enforcement should always out gun the citizens. If you truly believed in this assault weapons ban and believe it will make the state safer than you need to remove said weapons from government security details and from law enforcement. They should only be able to have what we can have.
