I oppose the assault rifle ban , as a nation we need to band together and fix the real issues. Please understand that criminals will always find a way to get ahold of firearms.

More teens are killed from texting and driving in a month than all mass shootings combined. Why do others who are afraid of firearms, don't like them or are just plain ignorant to them, get to decide MY rights? I am sick of having my Constitutional rights trampled on and taken away. My rights are not someone else's to give and take. Assault rifle. There is no such thing. I can take a .308 hunting rifle, semi-automatic with nothing on it but a scope, and it's fine. It's just for hunting. Take that very same rifle, put a hand guard, muzzle brake, bipod, pistol grip and suddenly it's an assault rifle even though it is the same caliber and semi-auto. It's just ridiculous that people who know nothing about firearms are trying to infringe on us responsible, law abiding firearms owners. Why don't we focus on bullying and mental health? That is after all, the root of the problem. Everyone of these shootings has been committed by a male. There has never been one account of a female engaging in such behavior. Why, as a female, do my rights to protect myself have to be on the line because of some mentally disturbed males?

I appose the current house bill 330 and all "bans" on firearms for civilians. Another law infringing on law abiding citizens will not prevent murder.

Completely against this and if you read the language they want a registration. These people won’t stop until they have a total ban on guns ! The time to act & be heard is now !!!!

I could be wrong but one has to assume our representatives are intelligent enough to vote based on facts and figures and not on emotional whims that have no bearing on what the cause is, or that will help curb violence. Vote no.
