Rational and responsible citizens and lawmakers alike, fully understand that banning ‘assault style’ rifles or other legal firearms is an absolute misguided ‘politically driven agenda’ and a sham. Guns don’t fire on their own; cars don’t drive into crowds on their own; bombs and pressure cookers don’t fill themselves with nails and explosives on their own. We need to enforce the ‘constitutional rational’ laws that we have, laws which address the issue of ‘the motives and people’ behind these heinous events. It is completely disingenuous to pretend that restricting firearm purchases for law abiding citizens of age, will do anything to protect our population. Worse than ‘not helping’ solve ‘gun violence’ issues, these hysterical reactions to a disturbing event, and the politicians and celebrities who promote them, are distracting from the real issues that need to be dealt with: the failures of our law enforcement on the local, state and federal levels; the breakdown of the community of mental health support; and the failure of our states for not providing efficient safety protocols for our school systems. This was still America, ‘land of the free and home of the brave’ the last time I checked. Attempts to ‘disarm’ America and to impugn the integrity of our 2nd Amendment is foreboding… I implore citizens to stay strong. It’s the rights of gunowners, hunters, sportsmen and women that are at issue this time… it could be YOUR freedoms next which are being taken away.

You people are out of control. I was just a kid when I went to Hunter safety school. I was 14 yrs old.and learned that Guns are safe in the right hands. You have gone to far with your reach. Do not try to take are Guns.
