I am against the ban. Enforce laws and jail times for what you already have. New laws are meaningless and do nothing but take away from law abiding citizens

The AR15 (Armalite Rifle 15) was never used as a Military Rifle by any Military and is therefore not an Assault Rifle, nor is it an Automatic Weapon, or weapon of war.

This bill does nothing to improve public safety in general or school safety in particular. It infringes on the rights of the law-abiding and will not prevent any school shootings in the state. It is aimed at political control by the liberal elite, who greatly fear an armed civilian population.

There is nothing in this proposed legislation that would have prevented any past shooting incident. Nor will the proposed legislation make Delaware safer for anyone except criminals. There is no evidence to support correlation between this type of legislation and reduction in shootings or overall crime. In fact, Baltimore has one of the highest murder rates in the nation despite stringent gun control measures like this being in place for nearly 5 years.
