This bill is unfair to the law abiding citizens of this country. Basically you're making all law abiding citizens into criminals if this bill is signed into law. Per the CDC, more lives are saved every year due to guns than lives that are taken by them. And handguns,per the FBI homicide database, cause twice as many deaths than rifles. Hammers kill more people than rifles!! Please do your due diligence and educate yourself on the subject matter that you are trying to legislate!! We live in the information age so all the info is at your fingertips. An ar 15 is only semiautomatic, which means one trigger pull = one bullet is fired. There is no such thing as a fully semiautomatic weapon. The ar 15 is no different than any semiautomatic handgun, which by the way causes more mass shootings than rifles due. But then again that would require research. And what exactly is an "assault handgun" per the bills writting?? So if I had a conceal carry permit and use it to defend myself, did I use an assault pistol in self defence?? I either used it to defend myself or I used it to assault someone with it. Can't have it both ways. There is no assault anything. How you use it defines how it's used. If I have a gun and never shoot anyone with it, then how is it an assault handgun. If I keep it locked away and use it for target shooting, the only thing it's assaulting is a paper target!! Please do not pass this bill!!

I am a law abiding, tax paying citizen who VOTES and I am a responsible gun owner. You have no right to take away my right to protect myself, my property and my family by whatever means I choose.
Your actions will not reduce gun/violent crime in this state. It will simply make it easier for the maggots that walk amongst us to take advantage of the unprotected. Start doing your jobs as law makers to take the criminals off our streets for more than a few days!!!
