I do not want my daughter exposed to sex, drugs and foul language associated with 8th graders.

In my opinion 10 and 11 year olds are too young to be placed in Middle school. The added peer pressure not to mention the greater opportunity to be bullied by students that are three grades ahead of them. They should leave 5th grade where it is.

This is a TERRIBLE idea. My daughter would not be prepared for this. Why is the school board messing with this?

Think of the children instead of your wallets. 5th graders shouldn't be subjected to this. Middle school is tough enough without the added peer pressure. Leave these kids alone!

I also think this an awful solution. Even my current 5th grader quickly said (without bias) "I barely feel ready to go next year as a 6th grader. Trust me, those 4th graders won't be ready next year." Another point, is that many parents rely on the kids club for before /after care. Has that been taken into consideration?

Please give us time to learn more about this decision before it is forced upon us. I wasn't aware that it was even an idea in the works with all the other ideas.

This decision is not in the best interest of students. Fifth grade students are not developmentally or emotionally ready for the pressures of middle school life.

Knowing what I know now about the scools in this district I would have never moved here. I have only been here for 2 1/2 years and I am ready to go now.

As a recent home buyer in the area, in large part due to the high quality elementary schools, I find this idea and the lack of transparency in communication to taxpayers disgraceful. I will remember this in all future elections.

No matter what school your child attends, we must all stand united as one against this Boards Decision. United we stand, Divided we fall. Let's get all the schools together as one and support one another

As a parent and teacher of 15 years I am taken back by Neshaminy's inconsiderate approach. I am upset about this idea for many reasons. First, it is wrong to "throw" this out at this time in the year to our community. It is disrespectful. A fourth grade class should be given a full year that is known as their last - not just make this move so quickly. THAT IS NOT SAYING I WANT IT TO HAPPEN. I DONT! Furthermore, if this has to happen in the near future more time should go into planning and thinking this through. A 5-6 intermediate school makes more sense for our children educationally and socially/emotionally. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Neshaminy. I am VERY turned off to this idea and saddened for our children. We all need to stand together and do what is right for them. NO 5th GRADE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.
