Fifth grade is too young for middle school pressures. Do not allow this to happen.

I completely agree that 5th graders are not ready for the middle school environment. I am also concerned that there has been NO preparation for this important transition. If this plan is going to go into effect, which I whole heartedly disagree with, it should be researched, planned for and discussed with more than a few months notice.

To the school board you have but no thought into this decision ! To think that 10 year olds are mature enough to handle middle and it's demands . You should be asking the fourth grade and fifth grade teachers on average how will these children will handle the demands. Just because the world is moving at top speed doesn't mean you have to push our children to bfrow up any faster then they are

Fifth graders should not be in Middle School! My grown adult children had a hard time going to middle school in sixth grade!

Please think about the children first. Fifth graders belong in elementary school!

Creating an environment where 10 year olds are forced to congregate with 14 year olds seems patently stupid.
