We like the solitude of a dead end street. A through access will not make it easier for us to get anywhere in Manvel. The cut through traffic will only make it more dangerous for children because there are no sidewalks on our street.

It opens it up to more speeding, burglary and crime. Being a dead-end is safer for all, especially since we have slow response time for anything not life threatening. If the political machine won't listen to the people, then provide more patrols and better response time for non-emergencies. Patrol the road for speeding, non-licensed vehicles (atv's, etc.) and vehicles that don't belong,

Not interested in living on a through street. There will be large increase of traffic through Curry Rd/ CR 736, with the growth of Sedona Lakes, the surrounding area and the proposed Brazoria County Toll Road that will begin/end on CR58. Living on a dead end street means that there is a lot less traffic. It is a safer place for children to play because it creates a natural “slow down” event for cars. We do not normally have cars racing through a dead end street. Less Crime – Many of the people living on the street know who belongs there. Strange cars and people hanging out for no reason tend to stick out much more. Being noticed is something a criminal cannot avoid on our street currently, the dead end makes it less attractive to be targeted. Sense Of Community will be lessened. We all know, or are at least aware of our neighbors on the street and have a tight knit community where most neighbors wave and acknowledge each other.

Please restore our streets to the original state.

My request is not to leave the street open. Once construction is finished, remove gravel and close our street the way it was originally.
