We are completely OPPOSED to having a thru road in our subdivision. We purchased our home as a place for our future retirement, with no intention of moving again. We absolutely love the small size of Pleasant Manor and it's "remote" location. There are many families here, both young and not so young, most with children, pets, and young visitors. Everyday, there are people walking and chatting amongst neighbors or riding around on bikes and golf carts. The 88 families that call Pleasant Manor home are what makes our small community so great - we know each face and we look out for each other. We regularly have get-togethers to meet one another. We are a tight knit community.
The bottomline is that having another subdivision driving through and connecting to our small community is not only risky, it literally doesn't make any sense. Most subdivisions are one entry in/out. This ensures the peace of mind for homeowners, particularly when their children are playing outdoors or if someone walks their pet at night. Homeowners feel a sense of security, knowing that their streets are being patrolled by fellow neighbors, not strangers trying to take a shortcut. In addition, this cut thru is by no means a shortcut. If you count the main road beginning on Pleasant Grove, it would take 5 streets to reach the thru road location on lot 37. How does that make any sense? Please, we are asking the powers that be to use sound judgement and to not allow this to happen. I'm quite sure you wouldn't want a thru road in your own neighborhood.

It is very disappointing that the residents that purchased these homes in such a beautiful neighborhood, have to fight to keep the neighborhood as ideal as the developer and residents
have made it.
Please no road and the problems that come with it.

We purchased in this community due to it's small size, as we wanted to know our neighbors and provide a safe environment for our children. This through road would totally eliminate both of these items, and it would also have an effect on our property values.

I am concerned about the possibility of a through road. I was sold my house that this neighborhood would have 88 homes and a tree buffer surrounding the outside property line. I would have never considered purchasing my home in the location it is with the potential of it to be a thoroughfare for 200+ homes. We have also already had some incidents of vandalism of cars, pool and other things that I fear could get worse with an increase in traffic. I am concerned about more traffic, speeding and I feel there has been some misrepresentation that has taken place.

The day we drove through the neighborhood, in January, we fell in love; primarily due to the quietness and seclusion from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. Two days later, we started building our home.
We just moved in about a month ago and still love the neighborhood. However, it did come to us as a disappointing surprise that there was a plan to basically ruin one of the main reasons why we decided on Pleasant Manor.
Please take into consideration how this will adversely impact not only mine, but so many other families that have been at Pleasant Manor much longer.

This neighborhood was not setup financially to support the security and surveillance that would be required in having an adjoining neighborhood. Residents are allowed in common areas. There is no funding to support any patrol of such places to ensure non-residential use of common areas, etc. The overall devaluation of homes that would occur as a result of connecting the two neighborhoods would be detrimental. With 1/4 to 1/8 acre lots....an estimated value between high 2 to low 300k would be a 100-180k averaging reduction in 88 homes....which would be exponential and completely adverse to what growth should happen in this area.
