Even in East Sheen when the planes are low it is impossible to be in the garden and I am still woken up by the low flying planes after 2 years here despite double glazing. We cannot take more planes.

Air travel is about tourism. Business trips account for less than 20% of flights. So expansion is not about UK plc, it's about private company profit. No other capital city thinks it appropriate to sacrifice its residents' peace and health for that private profit.

The 'Heathrow noise contour' adopted by the Airports Commission is absurdly small. It excludes most of Barnes. It is not reasonable or fair to proceed on the assumption that only those living west of Barnes suffer 'significant community annoyance'. Give Londoners back their sky !

The planned Heathrow expansion would have a detrimental effect on the lives of too many people to be a viable option. Other sites would be less disruptive.

Heathrow expansion would be disastrous for London. As a resident who is suffering the affects of noise pollution on a daily basis I know that we cannot allow this to happen
