I stronlgy object to the expansion of Heathrow for the following reasons - safety, quality of life for those under the flight path; another airport is needed for the long term future for the country.

Looking back at the maps, it is clear that Heathrow has become a sprawling monster. It cannot be allowed to continue growing. Also, note it is only situated where it is by an accident of history,

Noise from Heathrow airport affects more residents than any other airport in Europe, by an enormous margin. Indeed nearly a third of all people in Europe negatively affected by aircraft noise live under the Heathrow flightpath. An extra runway would simply be intolerable.

Aircraft noise has increased at certain times in the last 12months. It wakes you up at 4 am - you don't go back to sleep, night after night. The road and rail transportation pressure to and from Heathrow is at a maximum and urban mass in the area of proposed expansion renders it a dangerous proposition.

air travel in general to UK should be diversified around the country for both business and ecological reasons, let alone the disruption to people living in west London

Clealy when Heathrow was first developed, no one invisaged such a grow in air traffic. Had there been such foresight it would never have been developed. To expand Heathrow further is just adding folly to folly.
