The only way it could work would be to improve public transport to Heathrow substantially by both rail and road.

I strongly oppose any expansion at Heathrow and am seeing more and more that our three main airports in competition with each other could very well be the answer. I have observed several times in the last 12 months that Stansted is underused many months of the year. Bloating Heathrow only exacerbates the problems highlighted by this campaign. No to expansion of Heathrow.

What other information has been withheld from the public regarding the third runway?

Living in the flight path can already be unbearable a third runway would take away any peace left .

Although I am a Richmond resident, my objection to Heathrow expansion has nothing to do with the sound of the planes overhead; expansion of airport west of London is dangerous and also, Heathrow itself is already congested.

Beyond the noise suffering and general health issues the traffic congestion around M25 / M4 / M3 junctions would increase even further.

There is a need for greater transparency and honesty by the airports, NATS and CAA. The air space over London needs to be managed better and take into account the high density population. Many cities do not allow aircraft to fly over their highly populated centres. Paris, Stockholm, NY are just a few. 9/11 emphasised the need for caution. Heathrow and City now use flight paths that converge over SE London this means no respite periods, no breaks from plane activity from 04:30-23:00. This simply is not right.

heathrow expansion will effect all the residents under the flight path. An airport should never have been built near to a city

I say no to third runway, but I want to keep Heathrow. Maybe Boris island and a second Gatwick runway, but also cleaner aircraft, and extra attention to green projects around the flight path.

There already has been a considerable increase in plane noise over Grove Park, Chiswick with flight arriving earlier in the mornings. The alternate runways does give some much needed relief but enough is enough - no further expansion at Heathrow. Make more use of Gatwick. Also the road syztem all around this area of West London is groaning at the seams, more dflights into H'row means more traffic on the roads. NO EXPANSION OF HEATHROW, NO 3rd RUINWAY>
