I think a high congestion charge for the airport would be very unkind. Many people cannot get ther by public transport and the elderly, disabled and young children need to be transported by car.

Would anyone is their right mind suggest building an airport at Heathrow these days so that all the planes have to fly right over the city? Of course not so don't make this 70 year old planning disaster even worse now -- plan to get rid of it, don't expand it!

I prefer an additional runway at Gatwick, coupled with a very fast rail link between Gatwick and Heathrow.

I strongly oppose any expansion at Heathrow and am seeing more and more that our three main airports in competition with each other could very well be the answer. I have observed several times in the last 12 months that Stansted is underused many months of the year. Bloating Heathrow only exacerbates the problems highlighted by this campaign. No to expansion of Heathrow.
