The expansion of Heathrow would be a disaster for this area of London with increased noise, pollution and traffic.

Thoughtless and lazy grab at commercial revenue over local residents health when there are more logical and long lasting solutions to keeping the UK as Europes' No.1 hub.

As someone who has lived under the flight path for many years the noise and disturbance from planes increases. Planes start arriving as early as 5am (sometimes earlier) and wake you up. Getting back to sleep is not an option. So an expansion of Heathrow would make life more intolerable. Heathow expansion is not necessary. There are other options which should be used and implemented as quickly as possible.

Expanding Heathrow is the worst option of those available to increase flight capacity. It should NOT go ahead.

It is not appropriate to have additional air traffic at Heathrow due to noise, pollution and safety issues

Strongest possible objection to expansion of Heathrow airport. At near saturatioin point for much of the time, there is no justifiable reason for further development and every good reason for building an efficient, new airport for now and the future with high speed transport links to our major cities. This is not Nimbyism on my part, just practical common sense.

I oppose the expansion of Heathrow Airport. It represents a safety risk to those living nearby, as well as causing unacceptably high levels of noise and air pollution.

I am fed up with planes flying over my house in loud take-off mode when the authorised flightpath is one mile to the north over Richmond Park. If planes are already able to avoid authorised flight paths, what would happen with an extra runway?

The environmental arguments against expansion of Heathrow are overwhelming - indeed, in a rational world the airport would be closed down. In addition, further expansion would create an effective monopoly with all of the widely recognised evils that monopolies bring to their customers.

Decisions are being made about the expansion without transparency of all the main issues. This government MUST ensure that a full impact asessment is completed by an impartial body before agreeing to any further expansion. Another site which can provide additional capacity and appropriate travel connections is required.

Why cannot we just get on and build a second runway at Gatwick, so that it might be ready by 2019 when it will be permitted?
