The noise from planes is already bad - expansion of Heathrow would mean more planes and more unbearable noise!

The noise from planes is hard enough to deal with now, so more would be hell. I am scared of my house losing value, and that it will be difficult to continue living here. It will start becoming a dead area, when right now it is a good suburb to live in (if you can stand the plane noise). I say NO to more planes or any expansion. Also, our morning tube ride is crowded enough without more Heathrow passengers taking up the space.

Heathrow may well serve W London best, but thought should be given to other areas like S London and Gatwick expansion

I am totally aginst the expansion of hethrow. It is a blight on this part of London. I am shocked that the possibility of a congestion charge has not been aired more publicly.

Expanding Heathrow again is not a good long-term solution.

the impact on the lives of residents in terms of pollution, noise and congestion cannot be adequately calculated, we need a new airport going forward to take us beyond the next 10 years

A 3rd runway would be intolerable for local residents due to noise and air pollution.

Look at the announcement from Beijing, a new airport with 4 runways to start with and provision for 3 more. The only way to do that in the South East is with a totally new airport to the east of London. And why are BA adding routes from Heathrow to Palma, Ibiza, Santorini, Mykonos, Porto and Tripoli? Are they in China?

please let common sense prevail and stop the expansion of Heathrow now before it ineluctably damages the local environment and its residents with huge volumes of traffic & even more aircraft din.

Expansion at Gatwick or Luton could be a much more sensible alternative.

I live 13 miles from Heathrow. But heathrow aircraft noise already has a massive impact on quality of life in this area. This is not a West London problem, it is a pan London problem. In no other world class cities - London's comparators ( eg New York, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong , Beijing) do its residents have to put up with the intolerable aircraft noise and air pollution that Londoners face. Now is the time to break the cycle rather than reinforce and entrench the problem through further expansion

How can we reduce carbon use if we have a third runway?

We don't need more planes flying over London
