I am completely opposed to Heathrow expansion. The increased noise pollution, risk and traffic cannot be mitigated without extra inconvenience to already blighted residents.

Yes, the airport has been experimenting with flight paths over Englefield Green, Ascot, Windlesham etc. much to the residents anger, 1000 of whom turned up to a recent meeting to protest. What I find interesting about this is that at a time when Heathrow needs to find some friends, it is making more enemies by its sheer clumsiness.

The building of the third runway will mean the moving of the incinerator at Colnbrook, the proposal is to move it to the southern boundary of the airport. This generous gesture means that residents there who are already suffering noise and pollution from aircraft will also have the joy of emissions from the incinerator plus the nuisance of the heavy lorries to feed the incinerator. It is also proposed to build a large car park to the north of Stanwell on land currently used for gravel extraction and which was originally going to be restored (what was that promise worth?). Just to round all this off, the airport wants to build an attenuation tank and floating reed bed near Stanwell Moor village to handle polluted run-off from the new runway (polluted with de-icer amongst other things). This is in addition to the actual runway itself. Furthermore if business is really clamouring for more flights (a need not proven) then why does Heathrow operate so many holiday flights? No way for the third runway.

As a neighbour to heathrow I say enough is enough with regard to noise. pollution and road traffic.

The vast majority of the UK does not need any more flight capacity.

I object to any expansion at Heathrow. Too many homes and villages will be destroyed and the advantages very small and limited. Heathrow is simply the wrong airport in the wrong place. CLOSE IT DOWN AND BUILD IN THE THAMES ESTURY.

Noise over Windlesham is already intolerable. More air traffic would mean even more intrusion

We cannot increase the misery to most of south London on the flight path. The infrastructure should be developped further out where all congestion is easier

The air traffic noise is already intolerable for everyone living in Heathrow's flight path. Please don't make it even worse

Noise, pollution, terrorism over London danger of crashes to people on the ground as well as passengers. Effect on M25 , M4, M3 and all feeder roads. Pressure on housing and infrastructure for additional workers

Londoner's suffer with plane noise more than any other European city. Expanding heathrow will make this worse.

I think there is too much noise from the airport already without a third runway in place!!! The quality of life is compromised by the noise especially in the summer when we spent alot of time outside but as well at night/late in the evening when flights are disrupting the sleep! I work in a local school as a PE teacher and the impact it has on lessons outside is huge. On certain days you have to stop midsentence to wait for the noise to pass even inside the building!!! There should definatly be another residents poll before even thinking about expansion!!!!

We want quality of life for everyone. A 3rd runway would be a disaster.
