As a long-time Putney resident, the idea of the already hugely intrusive plane noise increasing is intolerable. Especially as there is a Gatwick proposal that is much more suitable to business needs and far less disruptive to the lives of people who live by an airport.

I agree with an earlier comment, Heathrow could be turned into a freight hub only, with all business and holiday traffic using other airports. that would reduce the nuisance for many residents around Heathrow.

Expansion of Heathrow is unacceptable. Flights going over residential parts of London are already a blight on the environment and the community.

I hate Heathrow they couldn't care less about their neighbours .I am under a new flight path in Ascot , they are acting illegally as they need permission from government to do this but who can take this establishment to court ? They are a bunch of money grabbing crooks !

After recent aircraft trials and the persistent increase in noise since they have supposedly been stopped, I don't think Heathrow could be trusted with any further expansion.
