Too much noise and pollution already. By the time the 3rd runway is built, what is therer to stop the owners of Heathrow demanding a 4th runway.

Im signing this on behalf of all the people who, if the 3rd runway goes ahead, are going to have their homes / country village destroyed with minimal compensation and all of those people who alreadly get minimal respite as a result of any existing consequences from Heathrow Airport. -> Further resources: http://hacan.org.uk/

Heathrow is too busy as it is already. Why choose an option that causes far more disruption to the local community than if an extra runway was built at Gatwick? On previous plans it shows a new dual carriageway being built straight through the centre of Cherry Lane Cemetery. I'm sure the familes of those buried at Cherry Lane (myself included) never thought we would have to face the possibility of our loved ones being exhumed just becaused of the expansion of an airport. Is it really worth causing such distress?

There is no room for further airport expansion in the UK. Time to recognise that we would be better as a spoke of Schiphol. Please do not despoil the country, especially the crowded south-east (where I do not live!) any further. And POLLUTION is too high already.

Noise levels, increased environmental impact and overall deterioration of quality of life in SW London should be reason enough for any smart person to reject the expansion at Heathrow if there is a viable alternative.

Heathrow should never have been built. To further expand it is complete madness. I can only assume there is corruption at the highest level.

the pollution levels already exceed guidelines. no third runway until planes emit less pollution

Absolutely against more planes above our heads for both environmental reasons and terrorist/accident risks. Go gatwick!

Gatwick is the obvious choice

We have enough airports and runways in the UK. Why demolish houses for the new runway when there is a housing shortage!

You don't get to knock down a thousand year old village to build a runway when they are

The air pollution in the area is already above the EU limits. Many homes will be demolished or blighted by noise and air pollution.

Having lived in North Ascot for over 20 years in peace and quiet a change was made to the flight paths without any democratic process we were told they were flight trials and they would finish but they didn't and now with have constant aircraft overhead and different angles and heights.Expanding Heathrow will create more pollution and noise!.Its time to spread the wealth not just in the South East!

A new airport in the Thames Estary is the most long term solution for this problem. From studying this for many years, working in the construction industry and from sitting on the Strategic Airport Special Interest Group for local government I can say that the inner thames estary airport is the best option by far and could gnerate upto 1M jobs and allow city airport and east London regeneration for the 21C, Most of the intrastructure such as HS1 from Kings X, M20 and M2 motorways is built and able to connect to the site. There are no major problems with the site that cannot be overcome using existing tech and provern methods already used in previous projects. The cost is the same as expanding Heathrow AND Gatwick together, but provides for a complete 4 runway 24hr airport rather than a single runway at Gatwick or Heathrow. for the 21C operating a Hub airport in such a density populated area such as west london cannot be allowed to continue and I belive many more jobs can be gained by redeveloping Heathrow site, allowing London to expand without touching the green belt.

oppose the expansion of Heathrow due to the noise and pollution it will cause
