Expanding Heathrow is a short-sighted strategy, putting all economic eggs in the same basket and seriously reducing quality of life in the city we are all so proud of.

you can produce all the surveys you wish but no-one will convince me that the noise levels haven't at least tripled over the last 10 years of living in this area. Companies already regularly flout the no fly hours, specifically over the last few years where I've had to suffer the noise pollution of large planes landing every 30 seconds in the region of 115 decibels up until 2am (despite cut off being 3 hrs prior), leaving only 3hrs of uninterupted sleep before the 5am flights kick off. Further expansion will only increase the issue and I can forsee numerous legal cases being launched in the not too distant future against Heathrow airport by residents under the flight path who find themselves with hearing problems. The funds would be much better spent in enabling a fluid and simple transfer service between the London airports.

The noise is horrendous already and has more than tripled since first moving to the area in 2004. Although the convenience is nice it's already hugely offset by the permanent flouting of no fly hours and noise pollution. The funds would be better spent on linking our London airports with direct underground / train or other service as the current ones are painful

We need to think about the other options - but London/Heathrow are busy enough already.

I beleive Heathrow is not the best option for further expansion of London air travel. Gatwick airport is much more coveniently located and can provide quick transport to London city centre.

Heathrow is completely the wrong location for increased air traffic. The local area is densely populated, the infrastructure is over stretched, land space is minimal, air pollution is failing to meet targets, the chaos in the build phase would be totally disruptive. Heathrow locals say no to expansion.

This proposed expansion impacts the health of people in north london as well as those more directly impacted in west London. The large increase in air traffic will result in many more planes flying over us on a holding pattern. Enough is enough!

We already live with almost constant noise from flights taking off and landing every day. We live in West Windsor and yet our house which is very solid and new still shakes as some plaines come in and take off so low, in addition to the noise which is constant also even with new double glazed windows. Any additional air traffic would make living here unbearable.

There is enough air pollution and noise already around Heathrow, we do not need another runway. It would be a much easier option to locate the extra runway at Gatwick and people can then bus or coach to London.

Gatwick is clearly deserves the increased traffic - Heathrow and the surrounding areas are congested enough - both in the skies and on the roads. Safety is also a serious issue.

I have seen Heathow expand from a child it's not only the airport but the lorries and warehouses around which has made the quiet village of Stanwell which had fields and open space to polluted and noisy When the planes stopped for a few days due to the volcanic cloud ash everyone commented how much nicer it was without the planes it was fantastic I have lived here all my life I don't want to move but give a thought to the residents and give us some peace from the constant drone of the planes even when trying to sleep

Can't stand the noise. Intolerable.
