The impact upon the highly populated suburbs of West London of a third runway at Heathrow is totally unacceptable, in terms both of noise and of air pollution. Expansion at Gatwick would be a less damaging option. Better still would be no airport expansion at all; increased air travel is unnecessary and damaging at a time when the urgent need is to reduce our carbon emissions.

Under NO circumstances should LHR be expanded! Gatwick is better suited but the best option is a completely new airport away from all residential development. It's about time people were put before the profits of business!

Heathrow is slap bang in the middle of a highly populated area with thousands of people underneath 3rd runway would result in monstrous noise levels

I am totally against, plans to build a 3rd runway, more pollution, more homes lost, we was promised by the out prime minister, this would not happen, if he got elected, he cannot go back on his word?

The approach roads are barely capable of handling the traffic from London so to increase road usage and polution is rediculous. Not to mention the extra noise polution.

Why should we be blighted by the greed of foreign consortiums. And the chaos created during construction will render the surrounding infastructure a no go area for years.

No 3 rd runway I will not have mine and my families quality of life ruined by noise and pollution that will come with all the extra flight, go to Gatwick or build by the coast planes land over the sea and take foo over the sea

Why not do as the Chinese did with Hong Kong they spent their money on a purpose built airport to cater for the needs of the future. Stop trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear!!
