I am all for a large successful airport but not if it disturbs the sleep of hundreds of thousands of Londoners. It is time to re-consider the Thames Estuary scheme and build a new airport that is fit for purpose.

We must go for the Inner Thames Estary Option. A 21C solution creating upwards of a 1M jobs with the redevelopment of Heathrow and City airports

Wandsworth Chamber supports the expansion of Gatwick Airport. With fast connections from Victoria, passing through the hub of Clapham Junction, Gatwick is far enough out of London to be the ideal location.

As well as excessive noise pollution there will be an unacceptable increase in traffic on the surrounding roads and motorways. These are already near saturation point.
